Dear CINPA Members and Guests,

While I wasn’t able to attend last month’s meeting featuring the panel discussion on online authentication, I’ve heard from several of you that it was very well attended and generated a great deal of useful discussion. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make it a success.

For our April 8 meeting, we’re going to try something a little different — an open forum conversation rather than a formal panel.

Topic: WhatsApp — Do you use it or avoid it? Why?

WhatsApp is widely used around the world and increasingly shows up in both personal and business communication. Some people appreciate its convenience and reach, while others have concerns about privacy, security, or specific features such as contact-list uploading.

Personally, I’ve been reluctant to fully embrace WhatsApp because of discomfort around sharing my contact list. I’m very interested in hearing how others are handling this — whether you use it enthusiastically, cautiously, or not at all.

This meeting will be an opportunity for everyone to share their real-world experiences, best practices, and opinions. The goal is a practical, candid exchange that benefits all of us.
